How: Float on out to Shem Creek and grab a bench by the water as the night stays bright and warm. Enjoy a free rock show by Dave Landeo and Lowcountry eats at one of the hottest spots on Shem Creek.

Tuesday 3.13
What: Yellow Dubmarine
Where: The Pour House
When: Doors open at 9p.m.
How: ‘Come Together’ under the Pour House roof and celebrate the life and works of the legendary Beatles with Yellow Dubmarine, D.C.’s Dub-Reggae group. Hear The Beatles in a different tune while getting your groove on for only $8.

 

Wednesday 3.14
What: Pecha Kucha 13
Where: TBA
When: Doors open at 6p.m., speakers start at 7p.m.
How: PK 13 has sold out in record time (again!) and continues to entertain the masses of Charleston creatives that flock to the event. Want to see what all the fuss is about but didn’t snag a ticket in time this month? Join the House of Commons and get tickets to every Pecha Kucha this year. For those who hopped on the train early this month, get ready to enjoy presentations from some of the Holy City’s most creative females!

Thursday 3.15
What: Catch the Leprechaun 5K
Where: Mount Pleasant Memorial Waterfront Park
When:
6:30p.m.
How: Lace up your running shoes and challenge yourself this St. Patrick’s Day while supporting the Pattinson’s Academy. Run or walk along Charleston’s many beautiful waterfront vistas as you warm up your Irish muscles for the big weekend. Registration is $30 and includes food, drinks, beer and access to St. Paddy’s festivities. Don’t forget a valid ID!

Friday 3.16
What: The Original Home Show sponsored by TD Bank
Where: Charleston Area Convention Center
When:  Saturday and Sunday, 10a.m.-6p.m.
How: Thinking about redecorating? Don’t miss the Charleston Home Builders Association‘s three-day home show. The Convention Center will be packed with inspiring exhibits by Charleston builders and designers, so be sure to take advantage of your opportunity to ask questions about your home. Tickets for adults are $5 and children under 12 get in free.


Saturday 3.17
What: St. Patrick’s Day Parade
Where: King St., Downtown
When: 10a.m.
How: Kick off St. Patrick’s Day by attending Mass at Saint Patrick’s Church before you indulge in St. Patty’s Day shenanigans. Follow the parade on King from Radcliffe down to Broad and bop into bars and pubs along the way. All ages are welcome to enjoy the floats, fiddlers, bagpipers and Irish step dancers. This event is free and open to the public.
